Founder Katy NewellThe original players in Pinewood Net are professional actors who participated in the Actor's Studio ‘Shot To Be Seen’ course, held in Pinewood, Herts in November 2007. Other members have since joined through connections within the group. Hence our name, Pinewood Net.

Whilst on the course, an agreement was made to continue as a group beyond what we were doing at the Actor’s Studio.  We are motivated and professional and can see how we can help ourselves, each other and other professionals in the industry.  At the same time, through this website, we can pass on valuable information to those wishing to get started in the industry.
Pinewood Net was created to provide an environment where the actors and actresses would remain creative artists, at all times, regardless of whether they are working for the group itself or as individuals working in other theatre, film or TV productions.

The intention of Pinewood Net is to both find and create paid professional work for its members.  The group achieves this through presenting showcases to industry professionals and by developing and putting on their own productions.  This gives us the opportunity to work with established and new writers alike as well as employ upcoming and experienced directors.

We want to invite and encourage new members and can accommodate an extensive membership.
